Why WhatsApp Web has no full export
WhatsApp Web is a companion to the phone app. It shows the conversations stored on your phone and sends new messages through it. Export from the phone instead
- Open the chat on your phone, not in the browser.
- On Android, tap the three-dot menu, choose More, then Export chat. On iPhone, tap the contact or group name, scroll down and choose Export Chat.
- Choose Without media or Include media.
- Move the file to your computer by email, cloud storage or a cable.
